Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary Is a Leader in Wildlife Rehabilitation - https://www.aspenvalley.ca Aspen Valley’s primary goal is to rehabilitate injured and orphaned wildlife. Once rehabilitated, animals are released back into the wild for a second chance. Each year, the Sanctuary takes in over 1,000 animals – many orphaned and in need of around-the-clock care and feeding. The Sanctuary is also home to more than 30 permanent wildlife residents, whose stories are shared during guided tours, which can be scheduled year-round. Additionally, Aspen Valley's mission is to educate the public about co-existing with wildlife, and provide humane solutions for wildlife-related issues. Our Sanctuary Has the Space and Habitat to Care For Large Mammals Located on 460 acres of natural habitat in Rosseau, Ontario, Aspen Valley is the only licensed wildlife rehabber in Ontario actively rehabilitating moose and one of the few rehabilitation centres equipped with an aquatic facility to house and care for semi-aquatic mammals, including beavers and otters. We also provide second chances for larger species, such as bears wolves and deer, as well as raccoons, squirrels, and many other mammalian species. Year-Round Guided Group Tours • There is a maximum of 15 people per tour group. • Tours are approximately 1.5 hours long with 2 km (1.2 miles) of walking. • Tours are outdoors, so please dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear. • The cost is $20.00 (+ tax) per person. Children 5 and under are free, but donations are welcomed.
